1. Overview
Akuno is a community contribution platform that uses blockchain transactions for transparency and verifiability. Participation carries risk. While entry amounts are typically low and rules are published, there is no guarantee of winning or receiving any return. Only contribute what you can afford to lose.
2. Not investment or financial advice
Nothing on Akuno should be interpreted as investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. We do not make recommendations about digital assets. You are solely responsible for your decisions and for understanding the risks of blockchain transfers.
3. Participation risks
- No guaranteed outcomes: winner selection follows published, deterministic rules. You may not win.
- Finality of entries: valid blockchain transfers are generally irreversible. Transfers below the entry fee or outside the window are invalid.
- Entry tiers: higher entry tiers may be introduced over time. Consider your personal risk tolerance.
- Operational changes: Circles, schedules, and wording may change as the platform evolves.
4. Fees & refunds
- Network fees: you pay blockchain network (gas) fees. These are non-refundable.
- No refunds for mistakes: sending from exchanges, using the wrong network, wrong amount, or late transfers are user errors and cannot be reversed by Akuno.
- Circle split: each Circle shows its split (for example 70% winners / 25% platform / 5% charity). Where applicable, amounts above the entry fee still count as one entry, unless the Circle rules state otherwise.
5. Blockchain & network risks
- Congestion or delays: high network activity can delay confirmations and affect whether a transfer lands within a window.
- Infrastructure risk: wallets, RPC providers, or explorers may be unavailable or may temporarily display incorrect data.
- Technical failures: software bugs or configuration errors can occur. We work to minimise risk, but no system is perfect.
6. Wallet safety & scams
- Use a trusted self-custody wallet. Never share seed phrases or private keys.
- Only use wallet addresses shown on the official Akuno site. Beware of phishing links and fake social accounts.
- We pay winners to the same wallet that sent the valid entry (where the Circle rules specify). Avoid sending from exchanges.
7. Eligibility & compliance
You must be 18+ and not located in restricted countries or regions. We may restrict access based on location signals, request proof of residence, or suspend accounts that breach our Terms or applicable laws. See our Restricted Countries page.
8. Responsible participation
- Contribute small amounts you are comfortable with.
- Double-check network, address, and amount before sending.
- Track Circle windows and announcements on the site, not via forwarded messages.
9. Changes to this note
We may update this Risk Note. Material changes will be posted on this page and/or via platform notices. Your continued use of Akuno means you accept the updated version.
