- International sanctions apply (for example OFAC, UN, UK sanctions).
- High risk of money laundering or terrorist financing is identified by recognised bodies (for example FATF).
- Local laws ban or severely restrict cryptocurrency use or services like ours.
- National regulations prohibit participation in our type of community pooling model.

2. Restricted countries & regions
Users from the following countries and regions cannot register, participate, or use Akuno Circles.

3. Enforcement
- We may restrict access using IP geolocation and other risk signals.
- Use of VPNs, proxies, or similar methods to bypass restrictions may lead to suspension or permanent account closure.
- We may request proof of residence where activity suggests a mismatch between claimed location and observed access patterns.

These restrictions help us to:
- Maintain compliance and reduce legal risk.
- Protect the Akuno community from fraud and sanctions-related exposure.
- Keep the platform stable, fair, and transparent for eligible users.
