This Privacy Policy explains how Akuno ("Akuno", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our platform. It also explains your rights and choices.
We collect only what is necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service.
1. Information we collect
- Account: email address and password (stored securely in hashed form).
- Wallet tracking: wallet addresses you choose to link for contribution matching (currently focused on BNB Chain BEP-20 USDT).
- Transaction data: TXIDs, sending address, receiving circle wallet, timestamps, amounts, and status.
- Usage data: IP address, browser/device type, and activity logs for security and reliability.
- Support communications: any messages or files you send to us.
We do not collect private keys, seed phrases, bank details, or custody credentials.
2. How we use information
- Operate and secure user accounts.
- Match blockchain contributions to Circles.
- Run and publish transparent draw results.
- Send service emails (verification, important updates).
- Detect abuse, fraud, or suspicious activity.
- Improve reliability and performance.
We do not sell personal data.
3. Lawful basis
- Contract: to provide your account and Circle participation features.
- Legitimate interests: platform security, reliability, and improvement.
- Consent: for non-essential cookies and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics 4).
- Legal obligation: where required by law.
4. Blockchain transparency
Blockchain transaction hashes (TXIDs) and wallet addresses are public by design. Akuno does not publish your name or email on-chain. TXIDs do not directly display your name, email, or password, but a wallet address can be linked to an identity if you share it publicly elsewhere. We recommend good privacy hygiene when using self-custody wallets.
Blockchain data cannot be altered or deleted. If you request account deletion, we can remove data we control, but we cannot remove public on-chain history. You can delete your Akuno account at anytime within the profile section of your Akuno account.
7. Security
We use appropriate security measures such as encryption, access controls, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your password, email access, and devices.
8. Retention
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes and legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account data where applicable, but blockchain data (TXIDs and public wallet activity) cannot be altered or removed.
9. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You may also object to certain processing where permitted by law. Contact us to exercise your rights.
10. International users
Data may be stored or processed in locations outside your country. By using Akuno, you understand that international transfers may occur where necessary to provide the service.
11. Children
Akuno is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Updates
We may revise this policy. If material changes occur, we may notify you by email or in-app. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
